Bournvita - It was first launched in 1949

Bournvita was first launched in 1949. The chocolate malt drink mixes sold in Europe and North America, India, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Benin and Togo, and manufactured by Cadbury.


But the Bournvita was discontinued in the UK market in 2008.

Corn Flakes - Originally Manufactured by Kellogg's

Corn flakes are a popular breakfast cereal originally manufactured by Kellogg's through the treatment of maize (Corn) by accident on August 8, 1894.

W.K. Kellogg and his brother Dr. John Harvey Kellogg create the world's first toasted cereal flakes at the Battle Creek Sanatorium. And they name it Granose, where 'Gran' meant grain and 'Ose' is a scientific suffix that suggested pre-digestion. Soon, word spreads rapidly about this deliciously nourishing new product.

Mysore Sandal Soap has been manufactured since 1916 and it is the only soap in the world made from 100% pure sandalwood oil.

In the early 20th century, the Mysore Kingdom in India was one of the largest producers of sandalwood in the world. It was also one of the major exporters of the wood, most of which was exported to Europe. During the First World War, large reserves of sandalwood were left over because they could not be exported due to the war. In order to make good use of these reserves, Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the king of Mysore established the Government Soap Factory in Bangalore.
